Weather Weather

Montecito in May offers warm, sun-filled days and mild evenings — some of the finest weather of the year. Temperatures typically range between 65–75°F, making it ideal for an outdoor celebration. Expect mostly sunny skies with cool nights around 54–59°F, perfect for a garden dinner under the stars. Rainfall is rare, and the Santa Ynez Mountains provide a stunning backdrop against California's clear spring sky.

San Ysidro Ranch

San Ysidro Ranch

San Ysidro Ranch is a legendary Montecito estate with twelve secluded acres of oak groves and gardens overlooking the Santa Ynez Mountains.

The ranch offers accommodation in its historic cottages and suites, an exceptional option for guests wishing to stay at the wedding venue itself.

Montecito Inn

Montecito Inn

Built in 1928 by Charlie Chaplin, Montecito Inn is a landmark boutique hotel on Coast Village Road — a three-story Mediterranean retreat with red tile roofs, whitewashed walls, and flower-box balconies, just steps from Butterfly Beach.

We have reserved a room block for the nights of May 21 & 22, 2027. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Explore

We've spent a lot of happy weekends in Montecito and Santa Barbara, and we can't wait to share some of our favorite places with you. Here are a few spots we love for eating, browsing, and wandering between wedding events.

Butterfly Beach

Butterfly Beach

The prettiest stretch of sand in Montecito, right across from the Biltmore.

One of the few west-facing beaches on the coast. Come for a morning walk or a golden-hour sunset, and keep an eye out for dolphins. No facilities, so bring a blanket and a bottle of wine.

Channel Drive, Montecito · free street parking

Godmothers Books

Godmothers Books

A dreamy independent bookstore & café just up the coast in Summerland.

Beautifully curated, with a café, author talks and weekend storytime. Our favorite place to browse on a slow morning.

2280 Lillie Ave, Summerland · open daily

The Post Montecito

The Post Montecito

A stylish open-air shopping center near the start of Coast Village Road.

Browse The Great, Shoppe Amber Interiors and Marisa Mason, grab a rosemary-orange latte from Little King Coffee, and stay for pasta and wood-fired pizza at Ospi.

1801 E Cabrillo Blvd, Montecito

Montecito Country Mart

Montecito Country Mart

An open-air village of boutiques and eateries around a courtyard on Coast Village Road.

Stroll the shops (Hudson Grace, Dōen, Mate Gallery) and grab a coffee at Caffè Luxxe. Don't miss the two spots in the courtyard: Bettina for wood-fired Neapolitan pizza (the pepperoni with hot honey is the move) and Rori's Artisanal Creamery for famously generous scoops of ice cream.

1016 Coast Village Rd, Montecito

The Upper Village

The Upper Village

The leafy heart of Montecito, where San Ysidro and East Valley Roads meet.

Wander the village shops around the Corner Green, then refuel: Pierre Lafond Market & Deli (a local institution since 1964, where you can grab a sandwich and an earthquake cookie by the blue-tiled fountain) and Little Mountain, Chef Diego Moya's wood-fired restaurant just down the road from where we'll be celebrating.
